Neighborhood Queso / North Nashville
TÍO FUN!
This North Nashville stop is part of Delia’s bigger queso story: melted cheese as a reason to gather, grieve, and make friends.
The Queso Connection
Queso has made me a surprising number of friends, and some of them are gathered around this stop. I consider Mikey and Brian personal friends, and Tío Fun became part of another chapter of my queso story when local Nashville news met me here to interview me about my grief queso meetups, gatherings I held at rotating restaurants around town with one very important requirement: there had to be queso. My dear friend Julia joined me for the interview. She's also an incredible local cook, and over the years I've sometimes helped her serve her fantastic Tex-Mex-inspired catered brunches. That's what I keep coming back to with this whole Trail. Queso has never just been something I order. It has introduced me to people. It has given us a reason to gather. It has made me a lot of friends. These are some of them.
