The Queso Trail gets a passport stamp on Magazine Street. Rum House takes its house queso blanco, seasoned with toasted cumin and ground chiles, and lets you choose your own adventure: straight-up, loaded with grilled chorizo and pepper relish, or full Gringo with seasoned ground beef. This is New Orleans, though, so queso refuses to stay politely inside the dip bowl. It turns up on Caribbean-inspired tacos and even alongside Jamaican beef patties.
