The Queso Connection

Downtown Cookeville's Father Tom's Pub serves more than your standard pub fare, and the cheese situation deserves some attention. Beyond the Bernie Mac, there's a giant Bavarian pretzel served with cheese sauce and stout mustard, hand-cut potato chips with cheese sauce, and Strange Brew, an Irish-style beer cheese soup with toasted crostini. Even the Fresh Prince sandwich gets in on the action, with grilled filet tips, peppers and onions covered in cheese sauce. For those following our Queso Trail beyond the traditional bowl, this is a particularly promising stop. We're adding several dishes to our must-try list.
