The Queso Connection

I covered Crush Taco during my North Texas food-writing years, and I remember the owner being genuinely kind. Coming back to the menu now for the Queso Trail feels wonderfully ridiculous because apparently they didn't just have queso. They built an entire ecosystem around it. This is exactly why the Trail isn't about identifying one supposedly “best” bowl. Sometimes the story is watching one restaurant take queso and ask, Okay, but where else can we put it?
