Crawdaddy's West Side Grill
Trade the tortilla chips for toasted French bread at Crawdaddy's, where the house-favorite Pesto Goat Cheese Dip brings a little something different to the table.
The Queso Connection
A little New Orleans spirit in the heart of downtown Cookeville. Crawdaddy's West Side Grill has been under the ownership of Drew Blalock and Blue Hensley since 2007, with a courtyard and patio that add to its neighborhood appeal. The Cajun-leaning menu ranges from crawfish étouffée and gator bites to a Pesto Goat Cheese Dip served with toasted French bread. There's also a creamy Bayou Shrimp Dip with chipotle chips, stuffed portobello mushrooms filled with that same shrimp dip, and Lobster Mac & Cheese with white cheddar. We're especially curious about the goat cheese. Another reminder that the Queso Trail is about following delicious discoveries, not arguing over what gets to be called queso.
