The Queso Connection

North Texas taught me that sometimes the best restaurants are hiding in strip malls, quietly minding their business while somebody inside is making the thing you're going to think about for the next six months. Amigos Acá y Allá was that kind of place for me. Queso on the table, Mexican comfort food everywhere I looked, and another reason to keep exploring the enormous patchwork quilt of restaurants I found after moving to Texas. I wasn't trying to build a trail then. I was just hungry and curious. Turns out that's pretty much how trails begin.
